British Columbia’s interactive and digital media industry is one of the most dynamic engines in the B.C. economy and is a key driver of skilled jobs that will define the future of the province.

As part of Creative Industries Week 2021, DigiBC is presenting Creative Technology Day on April 14 to highlight some of the incredible stories behind B.C.’s diverse and talented creative tech industry. Covering animation, VFX, video games, and VR/AR/XR, DigiBC will be showcasing work from studios ranging from local startups to multinational brands who call British Columbia home. Follow along here!

DigiBC, The Creative Technology Industry Association of B.C. is a member-supported, non-profit organization based in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Incorporated in 2010 after two previous banners, the Wireless Information Network (WIN) and New Media BC, DigiBC represents the province’s thriving creative tech sector — these include video games and interactive, visual effects, animation, and VR/AR industries. Many of us have interacted with some of DigiBC’s renowned members including Electronic Arts, Sony Imageworks, Animal Logic, ILM, The Coalition (Microsoft), Relic Entertainment, WildBrain Studios (formerly DHX) and many others. Each of these companies assists in bolstering B.C.’s interactive and digital media industry by combining amazing creative and cutting-edge technology to create fantastic stories and experiences for audiences around the world.

With a mission to ensure that interactive and digital media grows and thrives in the province for the benefit of current and future generations, DigiBC’s vision is to make B.C. the world’s leading centre for interactive and digital media.
