SINNERS leads the 2026 Oscar field with a record‑breaking 16 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Visual Effects. B.C. artists contributed to all five films nominated in the Best Visual Effects category this year: AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH (with work from ILM and Wētā FX), F1 (with work from Framestore and ILM), JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH (with VFX by ILM), SINNERS (with VFX contributions by ILM), and THE LOST BUS (featuring work from beloFX, ILM, and Cinesite).
