The 2026 Writers Guild of Canada Screenwriting Awards shortlist includes a number of British Columbia writers and several series produced in the province. The list reflects the ongoing role B.C. plays in Canada’s screen production ecosystem, both through its writing talent and the Vancouver‑based series that anchor factual and narrative formats.

The Awards will take place at Koerner Hall in Toronto on Monday, April 27, 2026, hosted by Ali Hassan and written by Kurt Smeaton.
