B.C. Shorts Featured in the 2024 International South Asian Film Festival Lineup

International South Asian Film Festival (iSAFF) has unveiled its 2024 lineup. The festival will take place in Surrey, British Columbia and runs from September 25 to 29.

This year’s theme is CROSSROADS’ – to celebrate South Asian cinema and culture as a hub and a place where many roads intersect. As South Asian cinema and artists continue their path-breaking growth, iSAFF is unlocking new and unique opportunities to find intersections between our cinematic stories and those from other backgrounds and industries.

Featuring 19 world premieres, eight North American premieres, and 23 Canadian premieres, the festival will open with Lakshmipriya Devi’s debut feature BOONG, which is having its world premiere at TIFF on September 7. Here are the features and short films from B.C. filmmakers:

HIJACK (dir. Yuvraj Kalsi)

LEVELED (dir. Sara Rangooni)

FATAL (dir. Jacquile Kambo)
