Netlifx’s ‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ is back for a second season and, similar to its first season, the soundtrack features even more music from B.C. musicians.
Based on Ali Novak’s 2014 novel of the same name, the series follows 15-year-old Jackie as she relocates to rural Colorado after a personal tragedy, moving into a household of nine brothers and one sister. In the second season, an abrupt return to New York sets the stage for her tense journey back to Colorado, where she navigates a love triangle while struggling to define her identity. The soundtrack underscores the heart of this coming-of-age story with pop, indie, and alternative tunes, guided by Vancouver-based music supervisor Natasha Duprey.
Here are the musicians from British Columbia whose songs you can hear on the second season:
- Setback and When We Were Kids by Young Friend
- Everybody (Stripped) by Daysormay
- Too Close To The Heart by Dear Rogue
- Lovesick by Kelland and Sara Diamond
- Someone To You by Riun Garner
- If That’s Love by Cold Fame
- I’ll Be Right Here by Emily Rowed
- Phantom Heart by Leathers
- Best Thing by Haley Blais
- Shake This Joint Around by Rich Hope
‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ is now streaming on Netflix.
