Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration Society

The Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration Society (VIBC) is a progressive South Asian company that specializes in bhangra festivals and events. VIBC highlights Punjabi-inspired works through music, dance, art and film. Bhangra brings together the community through music and dance to celebrate life, love and inclusion. VIBC says, “although it’s not part of the official definition, for us bhangra is a movement.” Entering their 14th year, VIBC is focused on their new strategic plan, digital strategy and ensuring they are serving the needs of the artistic community.

Each year VIBC hosts the City of Bhangra Festival, establishing relationships across the various performance genres and ethno-cultural boundaries. The festival which began in 2004, originally started as a bhangra competition but over the years has evolved into a seven to ten-day festival showcasing Punjabi culture.

Follow VIBC on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and stay tuned for details about the 2018 festival!
