The Vancouver International Black Film Festival (VIBFF) 2024 is back for its fourth edition, running from December 13 to 17, both in person and online. The Festival will feature 35 films, engaging panels, workshops, and events, designed to connect with audiences from diverse communities.

VIBFF not only aims to amplify more Black voices and showcase the most relevant Black films from here and abroad, but also celebrates the talent of creators from diverse backgrounds and provides a space for them to share their stories while reflecting on the challenges they face.

Opening Film – FIGHT LIKE A GIRL

A young Congolese woman forced to work in an illegal mineral mine, escapes her captors and finds a new life for herself after joining a renowned all-women boxing club in the border city of Goma. Based on a true story.
