Ever since the early days of the 1980s, independent video game developers have thrived in Vancouver. Next Level Games is one of the major indies, with over a decade of business underneath their belt. The team has developed award-winning titles for all three major game systems including the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. And in 2014, Next Level Games was nominated for nine Canadian Video Game Awards for their best-selling title “Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon”.

While the company is predominantly known within the local gaming industry for its work with Nintendo on critically acclaimed titles like the aforementioned “Luigi’s Mansion” as well as “Mario Strikers Charged” and “Punch-Out”, they have also branched out into other areas. In recent years Next Level made a splash in the PS3/Xbox 360 action adventure market with superhero titles such as “Spider-Man: Friend or Foe” and “Captain America: Super Soldier”.
