It’s Pride Month! June is a month of vibrant celebration and advocacy as we honour Pride Month in B.C. and beyond. June calls for celebrating sexual diversity, promoting dignity, equal rights, and self-affirmation. The month also calls to increase society’s awareness of the issues systemically faced by the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
The creative industries honour and celebrate Pride Month to amplify the strength and representation of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities across British Columbia. From dance parties to films, and community events, queer stories enrich our cultural landscape. Join the creative industries and celebrate the power of storytelling and self-expression throughout June, all summer long, and year-round. Discover a list of celebratory events, as well as sector highlights and resources for allies below.
