Hosted in Vancouver, the 21st Annual Directors Guild of Canada Awards (DGC Awards) honour the exquisite talent and creators making strides in the Canadian screen industry. This year, the DGC received nearly 450 submissions that showcase the incredible creativity and innovation of filmmakers in the Canadian film & television industry.
“These innovative and exciting filmmakers represent Canada on the global stage,” said DGC President Warren P. Sonoda. “They shine a light on the incredible amount of talent that exists in our country. We look forward to celebrating their achievements as we bring the DGC Awards Gala to the West Coast for the very first time.” Winners will be announced at the West Coast DGC Awards in Vancouver on November 5th, 2022.
