Heart Attack by Ryan Gazzola
Ryan Gazzola is a Vancouver-born, Toronto-based singer-songwriter who fuses nu-disco grooves, noodling guitars, and soaring vocal hooks. His songwriting marries the sweet and catchy melodies of modern pop with a funk and soul instrumentation backbone. It takes inspiration from modern contemporaries: Maroon 5, Dua Lipa, and Charlie Puth, to icons: Stevie Wonder and Daft Punk.
Trapeze by Marina Bennett
Marina Bennette is a self described Canadian songceress, stargazer, lover of dark chocolate, poetry, late night existential dives and musical alchemist. This prolific singer-songwriter hails from Vancouver BC. As a self proclaimed “sonic storyteller”, she loves fusing her artist heart, powerful vocals, and dynamic musical palette to create songs that pull the listener into the moment. Her music is a brilliant combination of soulful pop and rnb infused with haunting cinematic folk. Marina explores a variety of moods and production styles in her music celebrating the different sides of herself through her explorative, relatable songwriting. With a four octave range and impressive vocal power whilst sounding warm, expressive, sensual and honest, Marina uses music as a tool to express and heal herself, and she wants listeners to feel heard and understood as she explores life’s stories and their universal themes through song.
All I Need by Parlour Panther
Parlour Panther possesses an irresistible charm, captivating listeners with their mesmerizing chemistry and leaving a lasting impact through their genuine emotional expression and exceptional vocal and guitar skills. Comprised of Frankie and Lee, a trans non-binary couple, this enchanting indie rock band has been creating music together since 2014. They made a splash in the Vancouver music scene with their debut album “Hot Magic” in 2018, showcasing their distinct and bold sound. Following the success of their first release, they recorded their second album, “Retrograde,” entirely in their home studio during the pandemic. This album, released on Coax Records in August 2021, received high praise from critics. Now, Parlour Panther is embarking on a new musical journey with their upcoming album, collaborating with Jen, Saadi, Monarch and Blue Light studios, which marks a departure from their previous work. Keep an eye out for what Parlour Panther has in store, as they are undoubtedly a rising force to be reckoned with.
heavyweight by Haleluya Hailu
Raised in Vancouver, British Colombia Canada, Haleluya Hailu is a multi-intrumentalist, poet, and activist. Eclectic, energetic and constantly moving, Hailu manages to turn the awkward transition to adulthood into songs that anyone could lose themselves in. Preparing to take on a cross Canada tour in March of 2024, Haleluya is here and about to ‘eternally’ take over your airwaves.
Best Part by Zaac Pick
Zaac Pick is a singer, songwriter, professional day-dreamer. Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, he currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia. He released his debut EP Fierce Wind in 2009. Pick’s music has been featured in a few television shows, including CW network drama One Tree Hill and CBS’sThe Ghost Whisperer. His former band Doubting Paris has also earned spots on MTV hits Joan of Arcadia, The Real World, and America’s Next Top Model.
