The Juno Awards are returning to Vancouver in March 2025. To kick off JUNO season, CBC presents Road to the Junos, a five-night concert series showcasing musical talent from Vancouver and British Columbia to celebrate local artists leading up to the big night of awards.
From January 26 to 30, The Pearl in downtown Vancouver will host Road to the Junos. All concerts will be recorded by CBC Music for broadcast on Gem, YouTube, and CBC Radio.

Lineup: Bukola, Sadé Awele

Sadé Awele is a captivating artist in the realm of R&B, afropop and afrosoul. Her music draws deeply from her heritage, combining bold innovation with influences from the influential performers like Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Beyoncé, and Lauryn Hill.

The Vancouver Indigenous singer songwriter Hayley Wallis delivers a powerful emotional performance that evokes a response as dynamic as her vocal range. She hopes to set an example that will empower the young generation of her community to pursue their dreams.
The Vancouver-based Iamtheliving is an R&B singer with an authentic and futuristic sound, yet he encompasses a classic tone through his lyrics and profound vocals. His EP “In This Thing Called Life” received a Juno Award nomination for Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year at the 2021 Juno Awards.

Their compelling blend of Mexican, Cuban, and North American popular music, delivered with exuberant energy, is a winning combination.
Empanadas Ilegales is a Vancouver-based psychedelic cumbia and salsa band that transports audiences with groovy melodies and altered sounds. Drawing influence from Amazonian, Latin-Caribbean, and Andean psychedelic classics, as well as surf-rock and free-jazz fusion, they create a unique atmosphere perfect for the dancefloor.

Lineup: Ayla Tesler-Mabé, Art d’Ecco and his Demon Band
Ayla Tesler-Mabé is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter from Vancouver. She arrived on the scene in 2017 as lead guitar for Calpurnia, Finn Wolfhard’s first band. Following the band’s split, she has continued to grow with incredible vocals and breathtaking guitar skills that make her one to watch.
Based in Victoria, Art d’Ecco is a bold androgynous musician known for his unique blend of indie rock, glam rock, and post-punk revival. As a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, he combines driving guitar riffs, catchy synth pop melodies, and raw, emotive vocals to create a subversively infectious sound and vision.
