The 55th JUNO Awards concluded tonight, March 29, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario, celebrating the exceptional talent within the Canadian music industry. During the Gala on March 28, more than 40 JUNOs were handed out. The live awards were hosted by Mae Martin.
Nine B.C.-connected artists and contributors were celebrated at this year’s JUNO Awards. Cameron Whitcomb took home Country Album of the Year for The Hard Way as well as Breakthrough Artist of the Year. For the second year in a row, bbno$ won the TD JUNO Fan Choice Award. Other notable wins included Karan Aujla for South Asian Music Recording of the Year (P-POP CULTURE), Sarah McLachlan for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year (Better Broken), and Renee Rosnes for Jazz Album of the Year (Solo).
B.C. talent also shone behind the scenes: Kevin Moore and Kyle Joinson won Album Artwork of the Year for Tsunami Sea by Spiritbox, while Tobias Jesso Jr. earned Songwriter of the Year (Non-Performer) for co-writing with Rosalía, Justin Bieber, and Olivia Dean. The province also celebrated Alex Cuba, who won the inaugural Latin Music Recording of the Year for Índole, and Nelly Furtado, who was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
