NaijaFest 2024: Celebrating Nigerian’s Culture in British Columbia

The NaijaFest returns to Vancouver for its second year from August 31 to September 1, 2024 at Bear Creek Park in Surrey, celebrating Nigerian’s rich culture, vibrant costume, tasty food and rhythmic music.

The festival hosts a variety of concerts featuring both traditional Nigerian music and modern Afrobeat, performed by talented artists and musicians from Nigeria and the Nigerian-Canadian diaspora.⁠

NaijaFest showcases the diversity of Nigeria, home to over 250 ethnic groups and 350 languages. Attendees can immerse themselves in the dynamic displays of various culture groups, such as Yorùbá, Edo, Igbo. It fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of the country’s rich heritage among attendees.

The festival features a variety of music activities, including live performances by talented musicians such as YB feji, IGEE, King Fahd, JAAP, DJ Next, DJ Mario, DJ Bugatti, DJ Edizz, and a lot more. With such a diverse lineup, NaijaFest promises an unforgettable musical experience that celebrates the rich tapestry of Nigerian sounds and rhythms.

The food at NaijaFest is a culinary trip across Nigeria, with vendors serving dishes from different regions.
