The 2022 Polaris Prize Short List announced including B.C.’s Snotty Nose Rez Kids and Destroyer

Two British Columbian albums have made the 2022 Polaris Music Prize short list. The annual Prize for $50,000 goes to an artist that is awarded Canadian Album of the Year, decided upon by a jury comprised of nearly 200 music media professionals. Albums by British Columbian artists Snotty Nose Rez Kids and Destroyer were nominated alongside 223 albums, and further selected to the 40-album long list before the short list announcement on July 14, 2022.

The winning album will be revealed at a gala on Sep. 19, 2022 and announced by CBC Music.
