On the last Saturday of every April, booklovers and literary professionals alike celebrate Canadian Independent Bookstore Day. It is the annual day when readers, writers, illustrators, publishers, and industry supporters come together to celebrate indie bookstores across Canada. By joining the Celebration, you are advocating for independent businesses, supporting a flourishing bookselling community, and investing in Canadian culture.

When: Saturday, April 30, 2022

Where: All independent bookstores across Canada!

What: Many stores will be celebrating with special promotions and in-store events. Additionally each book you purchase from an independent bookstore allows you a chance to enter the CIBD 2022 Contest for Book Lovers. You could win up to $500 to spend at your favourite bookstore!
